A HC made a positive comment about DD's batting during the camp. DD is a sophomore, and the HC told her she is looking to start recruiting girls from her class yet. When should DD send the follow up email?
Thanks. I know the HC cannot respond until her junior year. I didn't know if there was a downside to responding immediately.I'd personally say right away. If she's a soph the HC won't be able to respond. If she wants to go to this school though, she can start sending regular emails and then be on his/her radar.

This is a great idea. When my daughter was going through the recruiting process she mailed the coach a letter and even sent her a holiday card. Coaches definitely remember things that stand out.My DD would have a stack of Thank You cards in the console of the truck. On the last day of a camp/showcase, before we left town she would hand address one of the cards, include a quick note and mail it so it had a local postmark. Coaches get tons of emails. Not many get hand written cards with a personalized note thanking them. Recruiting (Marketing) is all about seperating yourself from the herd.
