Played a tournament this weekend, 12u All-Stars. In the first bracket game we were losing 5-4. We had runners on 2nd and 3rd with a 2-2 count. DD hit a grounder halfway between SS &3B, and they both went after it, with SS stopping it, but not cleanly Runner on 3rd scored easy. Runner on 2nd stopped at third, but SS recovered and tried to throw my DD out at 1B. My DD is a speedster so she had no chance at getting the out and gave the runner at 3rd the chance she needed to score. DD was on cloud nine. Coach awarded her MVP for the game. On top of that she caught all 10 innings across three games today, including a 6 inning marathon with two ITB innings.
