After an ok day on Saturday. DD had a really good day on Sunday. In the last game which was our best played game of the fall we were in a 0-0 tie through six innings before losing 1-0 on two solid hits in the 7th inning. DD plays first base and made a flat out diving catch on a foul ball (thanks volleyball). She one upped this play by crashing into the fence and somehow catching the ball between her arm and chest. She calmly picked up the ball with her free hand and showed it to the umpire. To top things off she went 5-9 with 6 RBIs including a game ending one and a key two out two RBI hit to win another game. Before Sunday it seemed that in spite of her good batting stats she struggled to get hits at key times. I was very proud of her. Six hour drive home did not seem nearly as long.
