It operate like a doplar radar does in a cone. set it up about 3 to 4 foot behind home plate the meter about the top of the tee heighth. 10 swings and divide to get the avg. I agree it is a tool. Play with it a bit and youll discover the ins and outs of it in no time

Also be sure when you finish your swing to freeze a second and not release the bat backwards. It will pick up your back swing and really mess you up thinking your swing is a alot slower than it actually is.
