This question has come up more than a few times...What's the difference between the Vela (women's) and System 7 (men's) leg guards?

The short answer: Triple knee and color choices. That's it.

Top: System 7 - 15.5" (new, custom colors)
Bottom: Vela - 14.5" (2 years of use in 10U rec, 10U TB, and 12U TB)

The construction is the same. The padding is the same. The shin section plastic on the System 7 wraps around the sides a little bit more than the Vela, but it's not any wider. The ankle padding also comes down a little lower on the System 7. Both of these go along with just being a bigger size.

If you like the All-Star legs, but need something larger than the 14.5" Velas, the System 7s are the next step. Unfortunately, the white plastic color option is only available on the Vela legs, unless you do a custom order (6-8 weeks).
