The glove looks great. Sorry I didn't the see ad soon enough. I've always thought a broken in glove was worth more than a new glove...

What do you do to restore the gloves?

Cut all of the old laces out
Blow all the grit out of the glove with an air compressor
Clean all the leather with hog and horse hair brushes and Ball Players Balm Glove Cleaner
Clean and deodorize the wrist pad/fur
Clean all the logos/embroidery up
Condition the outer leather shell with Ball Players Balm Pro Glove Conditioner
Condition and seal the hand stalls, fingerstalls.and binding with Fiebings Golden Mink Oil Paste
Apply palm adhesive inside the glove
Skiv down the palm lace and then lace palm, thumb and pinky runs.
Mallet the laces flat and shape the palm of the glove
Relace the rest of the glove, shape the glove and then tie all the knots and trim off the excess lace
Then with a horse hair shoe style brush I brush off all the leather flakes from the lace.

Hard to be wrong that way! I’ll definitely agree with you on say…..a Vinci catchers mitt, granted it’s still in very good to great shape, but broken in. They’re a monster to break in!

That 1786 Schmick posted above is an excellent buy considering a new A2000 retails for $280.00, if he posted a similar glove in 12.25” (1781) in this same shape I would jump on it very quick!

The thing is, there’s not too many guys like Schmick here who completely goes through a glove the way he does, buying a used glove from him is a smart move, I mean who doesn’t like saving $130.00?
