I think we are leaving demarini

My 13u daughter (~5'7" & 145ish?) has always been #3 or #4 in the lineups with some of the most hits (&plenty of extra-base hits) on all of her teams. We think her swing is good. We've been afraid to change anything. It's been many, many years since she's used anything really except a -11 cf5, cf6, cf8... So she went for a 33/22 cf9 this year.

...And it's the first year she been flat. A good hit or two. But mostly a fly ball straight to an outfielder or even a groundout.

I'm guessing as she's getting older that the -11 balance feel of the demarini's isn't serving her anymore and it may be time for a change. ?

Xeno seems like it would be a change she may be needing, but without too big of a change (ie- too end loaded). Should we try 2017? 2018? It would actually be a Xeno plus, correct? And -10? So 33/23... ?

Mannn.... I think that we never thought we'd ever leave Demarini. I'm scared.

Xeno is a HUGE difference. It is about an ounce or more overweight. Did you try moving from a drop 11?
Cant use a drop 11 forever. At some point you have to venture into heavier weights. You could go with the Insane
if you wanted to stay Demarini but more endload.

Thanks. I was afraid of change- I thought this wasn't going to be such a huge one though. Sounds like we better rethink.

Why not a -10 balanced CF8 or CF9? Or a LXT.......5'7" and 145lbs. is too big of a girl to be swinging a -11 bat.

agreed. that was my first thought. Might even want to have her swing a -9. With her size and strength, she should see the ball start popping off the bat again.

Also, as a 13yo, I'm guessing she's now playing as a first year 14U? Pitching is better and girls start to move the ball around a bit more from 12's to 14's.

Mine is 10 (currently 5'2" and about 100 pounds) and went from -11 to -10 a little over a year ago. She's a Demarini fanatic. She's got a CF8 right now. I've had her try other bats but she doesn't ever like them as much.
