So, my little speedy slapper had herself a weekend. PGF Qualifier in Georgia. Playing in our second pool game. HC had her swinging away with the bases loaded. What does she do? Hits a GRAND SLAM! First OTF HR for her. It was hilarious because she had no idea it had gone over and couldn't figure out why the girl directly in front of her was jogging until she rounded second. Her eyes got as big as saucers and she throws her hands up and exclaimed "I did it!". Of course, I was doing GC so no video. I have advised all parents of a new rule for all of our kids. If the bases are loaded, someone better be videoing!!!

That's awesome! Congrats to her! My little lefty speedster DD hit her first over the fence homer last fall and had the same reaction lol. Hers was smoked way over the wall but she didn't know until she rounded second either. She hasn't hit one since, but man that was memorable moment.
There isn't a whole lot better experience in sports (or in life in general) when a smile can't be contained. Love it. What a great feeling.

Congrats to your DD! That ball will be kept for a long time. My DD (first year 14U) wants to hit her first OTF HR so much you can see it in her eyes when she goes up bat. She had a one bouncer to the fence this weekend again, so it's coming.

Congrats! This is why we need to advocate for mandatory a link spyder and a go pro cameras recording at every field every second of every day!
