No pitching in formal dresses...
DD went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI, plus a walk and 2 SBs. Her pitching was all right - she was really struggling with her release but she stayed calm instead of getting frustrated. (This is a major victory when you're 8.) She really earned her win this week.
Also, in a minor miracle, she let me know she had a hole in her batting gloves instead of just continuing to play with them!

DD went 6-11 with a 2B and 5 RBI's in our HS tourney. She is 15-30 with 11 RBI's over the 2 weeks which should have her very close to the team leading average.
Our #1 pitcher is down so our 2A and 2B are getting a lot of work and doing a great job. Both of them are holding teams close but our offense isn't breaking out for them. Hopefully our bats get going since this will be our last regular season week before post season play starts next Tuesday.

Daughter in first season as a pitcher. 10u. Played in tourney this weekend. Pitched 4 games started 3 - 12 innings 23k, 9bb. Won 2 lost 1. Shut down 4th team after starting pitcher gave up 6 runs in two innings. Ended up losing that one 6-5. Losses were to eventual champion and runner up both in close games.

DD got her first Varsity Dinger yesterday, a three run shot to left Center. I guess she's holding her own as a freshman, second in batting average and first in RBI's, most triples, most doubles and first in slugging percentage. In process to work to improve her hitting with Englishbey. Never can be good enough.
DD finished her Soph HS season last Friday. Went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles.
Team didn't make the playoffs. For the year she batted .492 3 HR's, 9 dbls, 3 Triples. Our team hit 13 Hr's this year. I kicked butt in the concessions. I made pull pork sammiches every home game which paid for the fence art that we put up.
