Dd received a pretty cool letter today from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, informing her that she has been named a national merit semifinalist based on last year's PSAT. Letter said to keep it quiet until Sept 14 but, what the heck, this is an anonymous board so I figured why not. Dd has been out of softball action for well over a month, so I couldn't resist the urge to brag about something.

Thanks, all. Yes, definitely committed and about an hour ago we received the itinerary for her official visit. Cannot believe how fast time has flown. I am trying to change the itinerary a bit because I hope to have some one on one time with the head football coach. He does a fine job and all but I have some suggestions for him and some definite opinions about his two quarterback system. I have my own two quarterback system - the better qb plays, and the other one stands on the sidelines with a clipboard.
I think one of those QBs will transfer!
If you think your two QB system is a mess, go watch the Auburn vs. Clemson game to see what a "cluster &%#$" on offense really looks like....
