A common throwing problem -- dipping the front shoulder
Speaking of a chain, we had a player that play second and she just didn't look right on ground balls. From receipt, bringing gloved ball to belly to throwing. Then we relised her problem. Throwing to 2nd
Wouldn't being on your knees mean your shoulders will still be square or restricted from moving back? Also the time it takes to get the throwing arm to be ready to throw allows the legs time to get you up and orientated. So don't be lazy :-).- Spice of Life

Importance of the glove hand
IMHO the thigh slapping is a possible side effect of keeping the torso stable so it could be a base for the shoulders. The closer the glove arm is to the body the less chance of an over rotation out of the pitching plane. What would the purpose of the slap be? A cue for release? Or just...- Spice of Life

Bingo. Ok more like a lightbulb moment :-) and here i was trying to get them to lower the throwing shoulder and it is the other shoulder dropping. I cringe when i see that throwing shoulder pop up since i can see the arm running out of room when they throw. Then the torso bends forward to...- Spice of Life

Rotational Hitting
Very interesting reading, but has anyone come with strong scientific data to correlate what has been said. Ok I might have missed something since I did jump till the end. From what I gather video swing analysis is done with camcorder technology? Which is 25 - 30 frames per second. That is good...- Spice of Life
