    So open the gate, knock the salt shaker off your shoulder, don't step in the canal, don't step on the spiders, watch out for the shark, and slam the gate closed!!! No wonder my dd wants to sleep with mom and dad!!! Just kidding, visuals are a very good teaching tool.

    My DD's crazy coach tried to schedule a practice on Mother's day! I will never do that again!!! Just kidding:D I always give holiday weekends off unless we are playing!

    I play catch while with the PC, then try to pick up the same spots to work on. Then at home remind her of what PC said! Seems to work for my DD

    Just goes to show that it is a "GAME" and kids like to have fun...... Good luck Coach! I have always felt there is a time for discipline and a time to have fun! Just make sure you stay in charge and control the practice...

    Just starting out

    Yep get her in them. Now before she starts enforcing any bad habits!!! The sooner the better. I watched all the videos, used editing software to slow down the videos frame by frame and then tried to emulate! I knew within 2 pitches I was over my head and got her to a PC!!

    Only thing I would mention is that is why they make all those cool pads and masks! Let her decide if and when she is ready to get back in the circle... Just be supportive!

    I think you have to get the inside of the plate to work effectively on the outside. Giving the batter the chance to only worry about the outside half is ridiculous!     The old None ya comes to mind. You were there to watch a good game not to coach. Would we have heard anything if the Frosh came in and struck out the side and won the game? Probably only the soft woosh of the farting unicorns!

    I know this is SB but D1 coaches actually looked at my sons grades in middle school before deciding to offer in Football or not. Most want Student/Athletes not the other way around. It improves their Student/Athlete graduation rate for the "stupid" basketball and football players that bring in...
