Your just getting one, the other decommited and is and will be playing for MN.if anyone has any questions about the program pm me, we've been there 4 years playing for the BATS.
Daughter went through this last year "specific majors", told them to pound dirt wasn't willing to change. Don't kid yourselves they are going to play the top 8 fielders 100% of the time once conference play starts and they may pitch 3 but the break down will be obvious on who they think can get...
My kid never did rings after winning state. They hand out metals for first and second place teams and the school gets a trophy. Our booster pays for rooms and $20 a day for meals. Been like that for the last 3 years.
Tell your kid congratulations it's something she'll never forget. It's funny my...
The video that makes everybody a expert on judging technique. lol..... At the upper level athleticism, and being able to get the job done is more important. Also for the record the necc video is good, nothing they teach is poor instruction but that doesn't make what is in the video the holy...
Daughter says cf8-9 and. Insane swing like her xeno, cf-10 swings like her xlt, Easton scn5b and DeMarini mercy swing very similar. The xeno is the end loaded version just like the insane is demarini's end load option.
Just a heads up, not there problem. 6 months old, failed first test after 3.5 months of use and failed every test sense, for a grand total of three. What a joke, as the cs rep says on the phone "There not necessarily made to pass" and "just use it in the tournaments that don't check". Really...
I don't reply much here but Ill bump this post to the top for a Quality team, usually the kid only get to play this team once a year but they have a great organization and if we lived in that part of the country I'd be looking to get my kid on it. One of the good ones!
BuckeyeGuy, I'll proof read the post better next time some parts are all most incoherent the way I worded it, it came off as a tool move, sorry it should of been said differently. You are correct they are set up to maximize force( which is acceleration) specific to each runner, because what...
Well I didn't think I was being irrational.
Quote from Jen,
"Personally, I know I am faster from a lower squat, get more strikes for my pitcher's and am more athletic and mobile from this position." My daughter is the same way, my daughters pops times went up, I may get into that a little...
1. receiving (i.e., allow an umpire to call a strike a strike)
IMHO some pitches are recieved better in a lower stance but we all will probably agree to disagree
2. blocking w/ runners on
I see no advantage either way your feet have to get light to block[/SIZE]
3. throwing w/ runners on
I...
"Clearly, you believe that a low stance is best for all situations in softball"
Oh, no. I never said that. There is a reason I said "I think she's fine, probably catches for a rise ball pitcher." when I referred to Jen's student. I probably should of made pitcher purl.
To make it clear I'm...
Just for the record I don't think either of you Fan Boys. My Daughter has did it both ways.
"FP catchers would need to be less mobile"
Bingo, If were talking "runners on stance" the goal is to be prepared to prevent the runner for taking a extra base correct? Do you want your catcher to have...
I think she's fine, probably catches for a rise ball pitcher. IMO she'll struggle catching drop ball pitchers that high in the stance, but as the saying goes opinions are like .......... You know the rest.
Don't hold your breath for a response, Jen doesn't owe you one.
Yup he's wide, to the point of elbow inside the knees, also that's his normal stance and it works for him. Not what I would claim as ideal for FP but their dealing with pitches that break harder also. Notice how he has to kick his leg out to get a knee on the ground for every low pitch?
I agree some can teach and some can't.
You can't compare the two, men and women are built way differently thank god. A lot transfers over but men are able to generate greater amounts of power from their upper body. But I agree study the best and them both just don't lump the men and women together.
The concepts are what I called fundamentally different yesterday, because they teach two separate disciplines behind the plate. Sure 90% is the same but the devil is in the details on the last 10% and that is where it makes a difference. My daughter used to use both stances runners on and a...
