    Looks like the central valley and so cal are great locations for fast pitch. The central coast not so much. I have heard Bill Hobbs in Paso Robles is the old style we are trying to get away from.

    Been pitching w/ my daughter for about 10 months. We started off w/ a PC that is a hello elbow slam the door style. We stopped going after reading this forum and watching college pitchers. I know it's a stretch but if anyone is or knows of a PC near San Luis Obispo CA I would appreciate it.

    pitching drills suggestions

    I have been having her step off the rubber into the power k position and pitch the ball with out the rear foot drag. This seems to be helping. Watching video of her in slow motion I noticed that her arm is straight during her arm circle so so we need to work on that.

    What important role does the pivot foot play?

    This is a good topic. I have read different opinions on how the pivot foot should come off the rubber straight or at an angle. It would be great to hear the reasons.

    That was probably not the best video of her to post. She was doing the leap and drag but her right foot was leaving the ground & we were trying to correct that which in turn caused other mechanical issues.

    Good stuff we have already done some full arm circles from the power k to get useuse to throwing open. We will try the pop & drop tomorrow.

    Our instructor definitely wants her to open up we are just having trouble geting her to do it. I started teaching her to leap and drag about 2 weeks ago.
