Oregon - Tennessee ball thrown at runner
In Saturday's WCWS Oregon at Tennessee game, bottom of the 6th, 1 out. R1 on first. Next batter grounds to 2B, 2B tosses to SS who steps on the base for the out, then tries to throw to 1B for the double play. Why cheat sheets?
On several teams every player wears a quarterback-style sleeve that needs to be consulted on every pitch, both for offense and defense. Why? College players aren't smart enough to remember the signs?- LAdad

Why always use your Ace pitcher?
Why do colleges so often use the same pitcher over and over again? I understand, you don't want to risk losing, but say you're Arizona and you win your three regional games by a collective score of 28-2. It can't really have been necessary to use Fowler for every single inning of those games...- LAdad

Under another topic it was mentioned how many D1 colleges there were. I was curious, so I went to the NFCA.org website and did some counting. I thought I'd share the results.
