Well I guess we're staying in our current league instead of switching. I think my wife and I lost sight of what we put our daughter in softball for.
We wanted to switch leagues so that she improves as a player, but we took a step back and asked what she wanted to do. She said she wants to...
Yeah I figured there was nothing really to be done aside from telling our girls to adjust. I was just wondering if there was a good way to tell them how to. I'm assuming a righty should adjust a bit to the left since their stride foot is left?
Hello everyone, as our pitchers go in the circle and do their thing, a trench is made in front of the rubber.
Most of the pitchers on the other teams are a bit taller so they seem not to be affected by it since they can easily stride to the front of it.
Our pitchers are on the shorter end so...
Thanks, yeah she sticks out like a sore thumb on her team in a good way. She basically carries the team even though there's a pitcher better than her. We're just a bit worried about her size, given that she's tiny (but mighty).
Thanks for your input. This is what I'm leaning towards also. One of her besties from the same league is also going to move over and she'll move up to 10u with her, but given how many kids there are, they probably won't end up on the same team. Still I think them playing each other will still...
Hello everyone,
Our 8u daughter is at the literal cutoff 8/31 for USA softball age, so she'll always be the youngest player not only in her class, but softball as well in the first year she moves up in any age group. I know some leagues allow players to play down. Right on her 9th birthday...
We had a game last night and when my daughter was put in the 2nd inning I kept encouraging her with two thumbs up every time she looked towards the dugout.
I've been giving her situations where she's either up, down, etc in the count while I'm on the bucket and ask her what she thinks she...
Yup rec, we have the girls that want to pitch in the rotation already, but we'd also like to win against the other teams when the games start counting.
We either tie or lose by a couple of runs. The other teams put their best pitches in max innings allowed, we just do 1 inning per pitcher.
Hi everyone, I'm not sure what do do about our pitching lineup....right now the games don't count for anything (aside from stat keeping) so we're just letting the girls who are taking lessons pitch games.
We have one pitcher that can actually strike girls out, while the others might throw...
With these types of players, do you try to make it known that the HS coach is the one they should be listening to or do you just pass on these types of players immediately?
