Legal or Not - (Realize this has been a hot topic of late in separate threads)

Will see how it is called in the NCAA this coming season

Legal or Not - (Realize this has been a hot topic of late in separate threads)

Well said Pattar - I think you have it right on the 3 reasons - can't see it, don't understand and don't care

Legal or Not - (Realize this has been a hot topic of late in separate threads)

I really don't care as it is a HS softball game - the rules have been changed to basically provide a lot of benefit to the pitchers which is fine but when the only illegal pitch that is called is because a girl has her hand in the glove when she steps on the pitching plate (still trying to...

Legal or Not - (Realize this has been a hot topic of late in separate threads)

She did - nothing to do with that more to understand the rule - she is clearly a very good pitcher but seems to fit the definition of a replant which is a clear competitive advantage.

Legal or Not - (Realize this has been a hot topic of late in separate threads)

This seems like a good spot to see what people think about the snip in the youtube link above that was from a HS game earlier this month - legal or not under any rules body (NCAA, NFHS, PGF, USA, etc) Thanks

    Is crow hopping now legal

This seems like a good spot to see what people think about the snip in the youtube link above that was from a HS game earlier this month - legal or not under any rules body (NCAA, NFHS, PGF, USA, etc) Thanks

    Well, here it is...

I think someone (probably more than a few actually) said it earlier that they will never call the replant - that is the bigger issue and isn't that hard to see when you can see dirt flying up and a large hole being made after an inning or 2 by the replanted ("drag") foot. It was highly evident...

    Arizona illegal pitches

We saw this all over the place at PGF with the top pitchers there - it seems to be a habit that is formed in lessons, not corrected and continues into games. A lot of things don't really impact the pitch that folks consider to be illegal based on the rules written but taking a step forward...

Lots of teams, but not organizations

@LEsoftballdad has raised the point of the day. Maybe it is parents trying to be 'cool' but they openly 'brag' about being 'paid' to play, easy path to college team and access to the Duke coaches, practice at the campus, etc. I will let the NCAA and others in that circle deal with that topic...

Top Showcase Events in the South this Fall

Thanks - It seems this year in the Southeast there are competing showcases that used to have their own weekend (or have recently come on to the scene - i.e. Show Me the Money) so will be interesting to see where the teams show up and play - obviously this is not all inclusive but a sample of...

Top Showcase Events in the South this Fall

Just wanted to get the views of this group as to the best Showcase events to attend this fall as it seems a number are now 'competing' with each other - focused on the 16&18U age brackets

    Development

Orange Socks has it in my view but this is the exception versus the rule for sure. Many teams/coaches are looking for the easy way by 'selling' their team to kids that have been developed by others and then they have those kids fly thousands of miles to play with them or meet up with them...

07 moving to Atlanta area in May

Hi here - just saw this - all depends on what you are looking for and what 'level' she is looking to and capable of playing. A few of the better teams (not purposefully excluding folks but may just miss them from lack of thinking through fully) include: Mojo Wade, Atlanta Vipers Tamborra (and...

    Compliance to the Alliance? $$$$

we played an event the other week that had 20ish teams and only 4 used AGL (and not for all games) so AGL posted a leaderboard the following week with kids from those 4 teams that didn't place in the top 10 so it isn't a great way of doing things - just the way it is. Nice thought but it has...

    Compliance to the Alliance? $$$$

All about the $$$$$$$$$ - always is - not saying the other orgs don't have their issues but on this string it is alliance focused it seems. It seems to be very different based on the region you are in - some seem better run than others, etc etc just like everything else. Track who is running...

    PGF Nationals approximate cost

If your team is planning to treat it like a beach trip and vacation I would be wary but if they are a team that is focused and treats it the way it should be treated it, along with the Colorado Sparkler - Power Pools, is a great experience on many levels. Costs with a parent (actually 2)...

Atlanta Vipers Wiggins 16U - Looking to add a few athletes

Following a successful Spring season where we competed against & defeated a number of top tier 16/18 teams at the 18U/Highschool level @ PGF March Madness (Champions), Georgia Oaks (Co-Champions) and 3rd place @ 18U PGF State. We are looking to add 2-3 additional athletes in order to compete in...
