I think its being underestimated how much 15% is, that is almost the difference between my 5'1" 100lb daughter who does pretty good but not great at at local 14u and Jordy Bahl
I think that is 100% legal, the replant/2nd push drives hip rotation but does not push the pitcher forward resulting in the pitcher being further away from the pitchers plate. Forward motion is stopped by the plant foot.
Seems pretty clear to me, this pitcher is replanting but it is not...
Yes I agree, how did you fix it? I keep telling/showing her that and she keeps doing what she is doing lol. I'm gonna have to find a way to isolate it.
I agree, I found and read that thread last night after posting this. Great detailed stuff, I took notes from it and we are definitely going to try some stuff I learned there. Thanks
We do some overhand/underhand alternating stuff but we''ll try this exact one working on momentum going forword while hand and ball goes/stays back. Thanks.
Her back foot is straight when she disengages the rubber, drags / glides straight a few inches, then turns sideways when the hips open, then back straight as her hips close. Drag mark looks like a question mark.
She is off on the launch posture I think and leading with her hands/ball. By...
I think we are going to try really stressing leading with the pelvis from the top of the back swing. She really wants to lead with the ball. Ive read a lot on here even since I posted this thread and I think based on that information we are a little off on our launch. She has trouble with the...
There is absolutely no doubt that with a team counting on her to produce she is very guilty of abandoning ship in games and going back to the way she knows she can win. I very much stress doing it right and being patient with the results but its hard for me to tell her to lose games she knows...
Thanks for the replies.
The speed is not actually what lead us to this conclusion. It was that she has such a hard time gaining a whip and pulling rather than pushing. I believe she is having trouble pulling with her front foot in the air. The screenshots were taken while working \ focusing...
My daughter is having a heck of a time getting her front foot down in time. The ball is at 9 o'clock (coming down the backside) when he foot lands. Seems simple but we are having a very hard time fixing this problem.
She is 11 years old, very small(4'6") and throws about 41 mph which I would...
