My DD had a similar journey. She ended up in RF because she can run, catch and throw. This weekend she caught 4 fly balls, doubled up a kid off first, threw out 3 kids at first and saved a run with a relay throw to 2b to home for the out. Also saved bases by being alert and backing up 1B.

Not common to add games like that. Our team plays weekday league games as well as weekend tournaments, but that was communicated well in advance.
It's good and bad. The kids get more game experience, but I personally would prefer more practice time where they can get quality reps.
Our 12U team got 2 tops, one pant with belt, one pair of socks, helmet and bat bag.
You could buy another pant and more socks if you wanted to.
Kids wore their own cleats.
Additional items were offered through the spirit store. We bought 2 hoodies, 2 t shirts, a visor, and a cage jacket...
Honestly, I think you are biting off more than you can chew. You are better off staying with the old team and working with her outside of practice. Or get her private lessons if you want higher quality coaching.
You say you are starting the team so your DD can get more reps in the infield, but...
Meh...Depends on the type of swing you start with. His lower body was racing ahead so he was trying to "feel" his hands & arms start the swing to keep it all synced up.
If you have an over the top swing, this advice is questionable.
My DD's team did this a year ago. Drove me nuts cuz the girl was a very good player and a great kid. I sat my DD down and went through all the kids on the team. I asked DD to grade all the kids on the 5 tools + mental game. DD gave the ostracized kid the highest grades (not including DD) and...
First, it's tough being a catcher as a lefty.
I assume she's got a long wind up like an outfielder and they want it shorter and quicker at catcher.
I wouldn't worry too much about working out. Get her playing other sports - hoops/soccer/gymnastics/whatever - and her strength will improve as...
update
Either coach figured it out or someone got in his ear. My DD and the other 2 kids she rotated with are getting lots of playing time at various positions and his DD not getting many innings at 2B anymore. Games are going much smoother.

I think "hiding" her at 2B was the idea. Unfortunately, she gets a lot of balls hit at her.
I shouldn't have picked on the kid so much. Not her fault, she just isn't athletic and doesn't have field sense.
I was more frustrated with the playing time and that is on the coach.
LOL, I know I'm the latest to post about Daddy Ball. I knew many would understand my frustrations from reading previous posts about the same issue. My rant was for my own mental health. I needed an outlet and this was a safe place to do it.
I appreciated the feedback from all, both positive and...
Eric F,
We are staying with the team because it's too late to join another. I'd rather she get some reps instead of no reps. The AC is the HS coach and is giving my DD some great coaching.
I have accepted it but I finally needed to rant and picked this forum to do it. This wasn't a new thing...
SS would be better! We have 2 pitchers who throw pretty hard. Most opponents can't catch up to them and lots of balls get hit to 2B!
And she tried pitching last year. It went just as you described.
Yup. A bunch of parents were giving each other funny looks at the tourney due to the glaring mistakes and playing time discrepancy. Everyone is polite but I can tell nerves are getting raw.
Been reading for a couple of years but finally had to join to vent!
Coach's DD plays 2B exclusively and she struggles to make plays. She makes at least one mental or physical error per inning on defense. She is a below average hitter and base runner.
She played 100% of innings at 2B this...
