2018's: How is the college recruiting process going?

Hard work pays off!
My DD went into this season with the goal to be All State and we got the word today she met her goal! So worth all the extra hitting lessons to see her face today when she got the call from her coach! We try not to get too hung up on stats but she found out her batting average was over .600...- bombermom

Anyone else counting down the days til travel?
Between the just generally bad playing and listening to clueless pare ts rant about how yheir kid shohld be starting over the ones who do (and how they know more than the coach) I am just counting down the days til high school is over and travel ball starts! Who's with me?- bombermom

Hey, I know it's been a while I took a little break from the boards. So turns out that "dream school" committed a catcher in her class years (yes years) ago. We found out through other college coaches. I just wish the coaches could take the tens seconds to tell the kid they weren't interested...- bombermom

She is pursuing schools that have expressed interest. Its just hard to give up on a dream school if you havent heard a definitive "no" yet. Im just wonderinf if that will ever happen or if we'll just be left in limbo and assume that theres no chance- bombermom

Definitely not trying to discourage but at the same time trying to be realistic. Do a lot of people find they get contacted after that 9/1 deadline? I understand if a coach really likes you they will try and contact your travel/high school coach (this information was provided to the 'dream...- bombermom
