DD is struggling with this. PC is wanting her to focus on velocity and coach wants her to focus on strikes.
Should a 12U pitcher throw every fastball as hard as they can? Or should you have a "cruising speed" (where you focus on mechanics and accuracy)? And, if needed, be able to reach down...

My DD's PC has been getting onto her about her "bowlers kick". PC wants her back foot to drive straight towards the plate. DD's natural move is more of a "bowlers kick" (back foot finishes behind her front leg).
When she focuses on it, she can do what PC ask. But, on the field, in the heat...
DD is having trouble getting the right speed differential between fastball and change-up. Any tidbits that you might have would be appreciated. We have tried different grips...she throws them accurately, but struggles with velocity.
