Just know that you are not alone, it is very frustrating. I get all those stupid looks too, they look at me like "you can't possibly know anything about pitching, and you certainly can't know more than me" The thing is, I dont know everthing about pitching, and never claimed...
Here is my oldest (14) working on IR and whip, to me this is starting to look really good, but always good to have a couple hundred extras eyes to take a look. we just need to carry this into her full motion pitch, which seems to be one of her biggest challenges...
Here is my youngest DD, just turned 11 last month. feel free to tell me what you think. One thing I will comment on. We took a break from IR whip to work on footwork and drive (she used to just step) and I was surprised to see her take a step backward on the arm whip, Maybe this is normal...
It does look like one of the more extreme examples I have seen, as long as you think there is no potential for injury (and I am no expert on this) then let the results decide.
