yeah that is what I was thinking...but my DD does not have the same problem currently. We had a long talk and I told her to overcome that fear or she would not play softball for much longer as the game would not be fun, you know living in fear.

Am I the only person who sees the irony in someone who's screen name is "HITTING COACH" asking for advice on hitting for 8 year olds.....
maybe I should have gone with "novice" hitting coach trying to get it right!

I am currently a hitting coach for my DD's 8u softball team. We will be moving up to kids pitch next fall and now I need to teach the girls how to bunt. I don't want to teach the "wrong" techniques.
