Worst coach ever?
My daughter plays the following sports, basketball, fastpitch, wrestling, roller and ice hockey and yes she's good at all and yes she's going to miss/late a practice. Last year she played in a roller hockey tournament, but we made special arrangements, to have her at the fastpitch games...- Rustydog

Help with swing
The only thing I really see wrong is the bat location. I see so many girls with the bat laid off at the top and either flat swing or a chopping motion. Most of them simply aren't strong enough to get back to the ball in time, this coupled with a bat that is to heavy and they have to make a lot...- Rustydog

Swing help!!
I see three things in her swing 1. She is striding backwards with the front foot. At best there is no stride just a slight turn and plant of the front foot no spin. 2. 12U Hitting "Slump"
A lot of stuff happening. No particular order - 1. Striding towards 3rd. Stride towards pitcher/legs and shoulder on same plane. 2. The Kelly Barnhill Thread
Just watched her triple play on youtube and the beginning video. She jumps off the mound (crow hops) replants then throws. She should be faster, she's throwing a shorter distance. Thoughts on DD's swing
Where is she hitting the ball? All over, grounders to right. Swinging late makes it tough for girls to hit balls in the air unless it is a pop fly because of the mechanics involved. Bat weight and size and TIMING really affect this. I always try to instill in my 10u daughter to hit the ball...- Rustydog
