    Cleatskins?

    She would just wear them to and from the field etc, so she wouldn’t be walking on her metal spikes on the concrete. The theory is they are easier to slip over than taking the cleats on and off. I don’t think I could get her to wear them on her molded cleats, she would just walk everywhere in them.

    Gabby and Eric, especially since you have had recent concussions, have you considered wearing or having your daughter wear a mouth guard while catching? I am more experienced with football ones, but have seen the SISU ones in lacrosse used, that may be more tolerable. SISU Aero looks like one...

    The Schutt has several different sizes that offer better fit. To me the looked better than most other brands I have and I think has been my daughter’s favorite when the team had them.

    Would you be willing to give more detail of the layout of these? My daughter just moved up to 14u and I think it’s time to move away from the basic hand signals we’ve been using. Need to be able to call more locations (high and inside or low and outside), as well as different pitches.

    If its the old Mizuno Franchise one, and you haven't tightened the top finger laces, than tightening them up will get you through state. Those laces stretch bad, and at times have an inch or inch and a half of slack to pull out.

    Mizuno GMVP1175F2 or GMVP1200F2 or similar. A better leather than the pigskin mizunos you have been using, and similar fit (works for a small hand). Just a little bit of break in. Should get her through 12u, and then could probably upgrade her to an even better quality one when she would be...

    Playing as a pick up for Major Tournaments

    Is your daughter likely to go back to the team she is on in the fall? If she is, running it by her current coach would be high on my priority list before going to far in the planning process.

    Does she throw a "heavy" ball?

    Possibly more spin or movement so the catcher doesn’t catch it in the pocket everytime, compared to someone else at the same speed.

    12" Balls

    Pitchers will like the dream seams better when new, the Dudley’s will hold up longer. I get both, and after we use them for pitching, they end up in the hitting bucket.
