    Summer entering college question...

    My DD's room mate is a field hockey player and they started I believe a little before classes started bease their season is in the fall but as for softball(this is D1) they started practice right around the 1st of September. Hope this helps

    If they played their hearts out and lost that is all you can ask...but if they gave a lack luster effort by all means let the horses run they need to know it will not be tolerated. ....asking for a better effort will never produce anything. Just my $.02

    I treat the rise like I do a CU......hit something else before you see one besides most kids can't throw one for a strike anyway.

    Most times if you have a good hitting team and then the bats go cold is more mental than anything else this is when I like to set the team down and go over pitch selection, being aggressive at the plate etc.

    What we do every practice is what we call everydays. We partner up 1 on 1 and stand about 8 feet apart and one girl throws a short hop to the other girl trying to bounce the ball just in front of the glove so we don't give her a mid hop.
