    Anyone try the new Rawlings

Just purchased the Quatro, DD still uses her 2015 LXT 32-22, when she starts using the Quatro,32-22 Ill fill you in (bought Rawlings after reading the posts on how Wilson-Louisville Slugger- screwed Core with obvious price fixing, no respect for sincere sales people, and no respect for the...

    coresoftball 20

Thanks for all the info, was on the fence over a Quatro or LXT....Quatro its gonna be, made in the USA (they say), reasonable pricing, and hopefully not in the business of screwing honest hard working people. Have appreciatted Cores info since I joined DFP, Thank You

    10U swinging a 34/25

Looks like a strong kid, but also looks like shes having a tough time getting that big piece of lumber around (all shoulders and arms, lower body looks to be balancing and not being used). Bet a appropriate bat size (32/22?) will help her utilize lower body and hands.

    Should DD change team?

At 1st year 10U player development, good coaching and training should be more important than wins and loses. After a year you can always change teams, or find a 1st year 12U team to play up in if shes good. The grass isn't always greener........

    Rawlings bats

Thanks Project for a great review (only actual review I've ever read). There is something about the Quatro that I just want to like it too, seems like a great design for her style (line drive, consistent level swing doubles hitter who can get to the fence occasionally). Can't sacrifice...

    Rawlings bats

Hi, hoping to get a review of the Quatro now that they've been out a few months, can't find many reviews anywhere, maybe they are not selling good. The 2017 LXT has great reviews, would like to buy a Made in USA brand though (but not Anderson or Rip It).

Any reviews and/or ratings on the Quatro's now that theyve been out for a couple months. Time to change out DD's 2015 LXT Thanks

    Thrown ball hits coach

If the 3B coach was in the "coaches box" and it was unintentional that the ball hit him(or her) it is considered a live ball(just like umpires can get in the way but ball is still live). Ball goes in dugout runner on 3rd gets home. If the 3rd base coach intentionally hits ball, is in field of...

    Mask or No Mask

The data is a ball weighing almost a 1/2 pound traveling upwards of 70 mph on different surfaces with variable weather conditions. Experience trumps data. In 14u a second baseman (playing against my daughtrs team), in good fielding position, playing in with a runner on 3rd got popped right in...

    Mask or No Mask

Best response I've read. Masks should be mandatory in TB and HS for all infielders. A Coach shouldn't be making that choice for somebody else's daughter. Is the coach going to be there for her to make smoothies because her teeth are gone? NO. Is the coach going to be there for her when she...

Why Jan. 1st Cut off date?

Thats true Eric, I just wanted to know if the ASA had a reason to pick that date. For travel ball, Fall would seem to make more sense, like September 1st around when most schools start. Little League was May 1st and I heard they changed it to August 31st, that makes more sense. Im not asking...

Why Jan. 1st Cut off date?

Hi All, first post. I am wondering if there is a reason for the ASA Jan. 1st birth date rule? I am not complaining, but in 5 years of travel ball no parent or coach knows of the reason. My daughters birth date is 12-21-2001. She is now on a 16U team, all girls are first year 16U. All but my...
