    Help with my 14U daughter

If you're referring to the bat drag, oh for sure she is. I'm hoping he'll address it. When I tried, she'd do better on the tee, but once she got up to bat she'd wrap that bat around her bat and drag it through the zone.

Thanks for the reply! What's ABAF stands for? Yeah so one of main issues she was having is throwing her hands back or down. Coach suggested to keep the back on her shoulder till release for now. Guess he's focusing on her lower half. She's picked up a ton of bad habits as she's started seeing...

    Help with my 14U daughter

Quick update: We've been seeing Wendell Hutchinson in Springboro Ohio for about a month. I've seen a big improvement in her mechanics. Still plenty of issues but I feel like she's in good hands.

Yes, we've been working the posture suggestions made on here. I'm still at a loss on how to fix the weight transfer. She seems to be keeping mist her weight, head back after her load. I almost feel like if her load was shorter, like the video posted a few pages back where the hitter almost did a...

    Help with my 14U daughter

Too many people to respond to but you guys are awesome. No quick fixes but she's doing better each day! Before I read any of these, here is what we've been working on: -practicing knob to the ball, using that lead as a hammer -bat vertical keeping it still through load and not casting nor...

    Help with my 14U daughter

So at foot plant, what should her upper body be doing? In the process of turning shoulders? I wonder if she's swinging before the plant foot drops because she's timing the pitcher, maybe worried she'll be too slow?

We both see the rotation of that wrist. When it rotates, she getting massive bat drag. Look at the newest post. Think that may help, especially those drills in that YT video?

    Help with my 14U daughter

So are you saying that she's moving her head back as she's loading and striding? I did look at what people were talking about with her top hand and how she's rotating it along with the bat. We looked at ways to get the knob to the ball and started with something like this. Thoughts? Based on...

So is her stride just too big or is loading too much? Or is she moving her hips too late? Or am I off on what you mean

Yes, she throws right. I do see what you see! Goodveye. So are saying shes rotating it during her elbow drop which is causing her drag? So should that back had be stationary, not rotating correct?

    Help with my 14U daughter

To answer questions, she's been doing dry swings, no tee, nothing. First just loading without moving her hands, and second bringing her elbow down into the hip slot. Here is today hitting hit stick. Still seeing casting and swinging with her arms but I feel like she's casting less though she's...

    Help with my 14U daughter

Funny you say that because I was just saying that to her yesterday, going through the drill when she rotating her hips and bringing back elbow down and in. I told her to imagine that she is hitting (not literally) the ball with her back shoulder.

It a flyout to center, but she had popped out to the infield 5 straight at bats so it's a start. You can tell she's losing a lot of her power by casting her hands out like that. I will get some video of dry swings this week. Thank you!

Just 30 minutes of dry swings so not expecting much. She is still moving those hands before you drops her front foot down. My guess is she using that front foot to time her swing. She's also casting back towards the catcher.
