    What size and brand of Glove does your DD use?

    DD is first year 12U. Got her a Nokona WB-1200 12" glove. She pitches, 1B and 3B. Solid glove. Took a while to get used to weight of the glove but she loves it now. But she still carries her old Mizuno 12.5" pancake glove in her bag! LOL I 2nd the Shigeaki Aso breaking in Brandon Phillips' glove.

    2-seam vs 4-seam fastball

    My 10 year old going on 11 next week, DD throws both. Four seam to overpower and two seam is more of a finesse (a little slower) fast ball that does drop off the outside corner.     If we're on the road, I ask her if she's tired. If she says yes, I tell her then hurry up, trust your stuff and finish it up so the team can go get ice cream and get into the hotel pool. Sam

    What pitches should a 12U player have at this point?

    It's just like the slider in baseball. Looks like a fastball down the middle then has a really late break away on the black. It's a better pitch than the outside corner fastball cause of the movement. I'll get some video and post when I get a chance.

    This season was the first time our league implemented stealing home. Yeah, my DD got banged around also as pitcher. Had to keep reminding her how to properly set up her feet at home plate so she didn't get a knee taken out.

    how do you take a break

    This is how my 10U DD wanted to spend the next three weeks before transitioning to 12's. Pitching once or twice a week for an hour with 12" ball. Hitting once or twice a week for an hour and the rest of the time spent as being a kid! It's been a long season and they deserve/earn it. Sam
