    Be cautious about this..

    I have the parents #s my DD has the players #s. I send a mass text to parents & she sends it to players. I also had a player (not my DD) tell me that one of the parents was friend requesting her on FB, a 44 yo man friend requesting a 13yo girl?......now that's creepy.

    Thanks, I just assumed that the other variables were know. In your last part of the response, the batter gets first what if there was a runner on third, would that runner be able to advance.

    If a batter bunts a ball and it strikes her outside the box while running, can the runners on base advance? I know the batter is out. Similiarly, if a batted ball hits a baserunner, that runner is out, can the others advance. I don't believe any runners can advance on a dead ball, is that correct?

    Travel team

    If you register your team ASA you will be required to purchase their insurance, but it also covers your team no matter what sanction you play under. If you are not registering ASA I have used a company called Chappell, they were very reasonable for team insurance. Good Luck

    Playing softball in extreme heat

    We bring a garden sprayer (buy a new one, don't use the one you had the lawn chemicals in, fill it with ice/water. & the girls can mist themselves, also the cold rags are a must. If the dugouts aren't covered, be sure to have a pop-up shade tent.

    Pitching In LL Tournament I believe there is a rule against a girl pitching in another game while her LL team is still in the tournament. I only see the rule in the section for Juniors (13-14 yr. olds) not in any other division.
