I would have to disagree. My dd LOVES playing the top competition every week and IDT is a great tournament for that. Yes it cost $, but well worth it to us. I am sure there are many differing opinions.- gatorcoach

We saw several at our games in 16u IDT, but 14u IDT in Broomfield was loaded with coaches. Also, heard Sparkler Jr Power Pools at Erie had many coaches.- gatorcoach

Your team captains will show themselves, no need to be assigned or voted on. Why "should it be a senior"? Ground ball banana drill? Baseball vs. softball.
"Drills cause major mechanical issues" Drills make fundamentals become natural. Do the the drills so when gametime comes the footwork and glovework is natural and instinctive. Drills do not cause issues, BAD DRILL WORK causes problems!- gatorcoach

What to expect?
Most likely a tour of campus andsit down with the staff while there for the camp. If they still like what they see they will be out this Summer to watch her play and go from there. JMO- gatorcoach

No unofficial visits after August?
This is before JR year and is part of a proposal being voted on. I am hearing that it will not be passed. However, seems most believe new recruiting calendar will be passed and will change some things. I believe you can find proposals on NFCA site.- gatorcoach

Indiana 1st practice/tryout Mar 6 1st contest date March 21, I believe Conditioning/open gyms can go basically all year qith "no instruction" from coaches- gatorcoach

Verbal offers
Always always be honest. College softball is a very very small world and all coaches talk to each other, even about prospects. Most likely coach already knows you have other offers.- gatorcoach

Verbal offers
It against NCAA rules to offer in writing prior to signing day. A verbal is just exactly that, a non-binding verbal offer/acceptance. To answer another question,: you do not have to accept a verbal and can wait until Sr year when they can "officially offer" however you may find that many...- gatorcoach
