"Bully" coach or are we over reacting.
Berating any girl fastpitch player in front of their team, family, and fans is... IMO... a BIG RED FLASHING... "Warning Sign" of someone who should NOT be coaching girls fastpitch softball. To help ALL the players/parents/fans... I would suggest filming a video of this behavior and sharing this...- FastpitchPros

Is this the end? or a new beginning?
Sorry to hear about your DD's shoulder injury... My daughter (pitcher/1B) just hung up her college cleats this spring due to chronic pain in her elbow. We tried everything to help her elbow... w/o success 😟 Trying to play in pain for the past 2 years... and only playing 5 inning in...- FastpitchPros

Flip change speed
@Hillhouse - Thanks for sharing Bill. Would you agree... that once the pitcher "takes out the IR and the whip from the arm/hand/fingers"... by releasing the ball with the thumb "inside" (next to the hip)... it will lose speed and it will also look the same as all the other pitchers because...- FastpitchPros

Pitchers can have more than one type of change-up (off-speed). The goals are to keep the batters off-balance, thinking (get in their heads), hit your pitch POORLY and have the same pitching wind-up and "motion/speed" for EVERY SINGLE PITCH. (ie. Arm circle question.
@djcarter1966 Make sure her arm is relaxed and just throw... "long-n-loose"... the bend (the lag-flex) should happen naturally. Also, have her also "pull-down with her lat muscles" during her arm-circle @ around 1 Once she gets the timing down... this will help to increase whip/speed...- FastpitchPros

IMO... as an experienced Minnesota PI... when you tell a player to bend her elbow... she will "bend her elbow" This is NOT something you teach... it should only be a "video reference point" to show her "relaxed arm" during the arm circle... Not Pushing at 10U.
My 2 DDs started when they were 8/10 (now 20-22) and I have coached/instructed 100's of other youth players... So I have learned that you must simply ask her to "TRY IT"... or have another coach/parent/player ask her... Your DD just needs some direction and a little encouragement... (i.e...- FastpitchPros
