Player responsibility on grounder to 2nd w/ runner on 2nd - High School
I've never seen catchers back up throws to 1B with runners on. This is just a botched play.. 2B threw the ball too hard for the play, should be just a simple flip. Ball should've been caught by 1B. Infield movement looks good. I'm not having a P cover home.- erniekru

Turf Concerns ...
DD's High School Field! Bougie with a capital B.. Modern turf is amazing, instead of crushed tire filler we have crushed olive pits. Drains quick (it rained this day), with the tan olive pits the turf doesn't heat up like the black tire infill does, and no weird smells. Definitely a thumbs...- erniekru

Well, you've got the number wrong, it's $40! Doesn't matter what the poll results are, demand far outstrips the supply of classes as they are all sold out across all age groups and types of hitters. College Roster Sizes, sorry some of you don't get to go with us~
Because there is so much pressure for kids that have played softball since they were 8yo (or less) to play in college, they will walk on and the coaches know it. There is only 12 scholarships, a roster of 24 will have more than a few kids not getting any athletic money, but what's the saying...- erniekru

DD is a catcher and one of the other catchers on her team is going to SLO next year.. She's pretty darn good. That team seems to be punching above their weight this year, indicating that the program is on the rise. I love cal-poly and would think it is a great school for academics and athletics.- erniekru

If you REALLY look into the recruiting classes that they've been getting recently, I think you'd make the connection. All of those schools (besides SDSU) have players where "really??" springs to mind. I don't know how LB, UCSB, UCSD struggle to make good recruiting decisions when there is huge...- erniekru

DD is a catcher and gets a courtesy every time she reaches base. I have a couple sets of friends that their DD's are freshmen at upper P5 and mid major and are pinch runners.. I think it is really common- erniekru

Hitting fly balls
Use a softball bat, something proportional to what the girls are using on your team. It'll take some time to learn but it is so worth it! Every team that DD has been part of (travel and HS) has been the same.. All fundraising funds get used by the team however they see fit. I've never heard of where the money goes or how it's used. If you can't trust your team, what's the point?- erniekru
