Well if you look at the majority of successful hitters and that's what they are doing then carry on I suppose. If it works, why change it...- Battle

Yep...They are there for a reason and the reason is usually adjusting to the speed of the pitch and what they are used to hitting. I think moving the batter up in the box is a mistake but what do I know.:eek:- Battle

where would you put this hitter in your lineup
You may have already said and I missed it but have you asked the coach respectfully if there is a problem and state your concerns? I would think if you only have 10 on the team he would be fairly straight with you.- Battle

Gamemanship or Cheating?
I don't think it's "Busch League" by any means...but...it goes the other way too. I feel I was pretty good at figuring out when a coach was doing this and so were the other coaches my DD played for. It was pretty easy to confuse the opposing coach and players. As a team, I think a team should...- Battle

10u pitches
I would be careful on anything that torques the shoulder/elbow. She is still growing and at that age, can hurt her. Maybe experiment with the drop just to introduce her to spinning the ball. The jump from 10u to 12u will be enough of a shock for her IMO. I'm not preaching but be very careful and...- Battle

All you need are power hitters in your lineup
Actually I agree as long as they are hitting with power in the games, can lay down a bunt when needed, and have a decent D. Power hitters come in all shapes and sizes so it is possible to have speed as well and 200ft is 200ft no matter what size you are. Now, if you are asking do I think a team...- Battle
