    Cleatskins?

    She would just wear them to and from the field etc, so she wouldn’t be walking on her metal spikes on the concrete. The theory is they are easier to slip over than taking the cleats on and off. I don’t think I could get her to wear them on her molded cleats, she would just walk everywhere in them.

    Gabby and Eric, especially since you have had recent concussions, have you considered wearing or having your daughter wear a mouth guard while catching? I am more experienced with football ones, but have seen the SISU ones in lacrosse used, that may be more tolerable. SISU Aero looks like one...

    Ernie and Eric, Riddell Speedflex football helmets are one of the more recent helmets, and get a 5 star rating from Virginia Tech (seems to be the best 3rd party ranking system). Anyway the quick releases for the facemask are designed so they are side mounted and not mounted in the forehead...

    Batting helmet suggestions

    The Schutt has several different sizes that offer better fit. To me the looked better than most other brands I have and I think has been my daughter’s favorite when the team had them.

    Would you be willing to give more detail of the layout of these? My daughter just moved up to 14u and I think it’s time to move away from the basic hand signals we’ve been using. Need to be able to call more locations (high and inside or low and outside), as well as different pitches.
