Lol, yes, I know her grades need to be good. We push homework daily, to me great is high A's across the board, she keeps low A's with an occasional high B from time to time. (we always push for better) She's not on an elite team just yet. Scout said that would be our goal by freshman year...- 459'smom

We are just now going through this. Our DD turned 14 a couple weeks ago, and she is going on a TB strike due to the EXACT things and reasons you mentioned above (not parent pressure)!! Xeno new or old and bat length
We just received our 2013 Xeno as replacement for the recalled oneX. It is plenty hot right out of the package. We choose the oneX because we did not want the Xeno, but we are adjusting very quickly. She hit 3 over the fence Wednesday!!- 459'smom

How do you ask?
We always tell a new coach that we WILL BE picking up from time to time if the primary team isn't playing. We are clear primary team will always come first, but if a coach doesn't want her picking up then he's probably not the coach for us. Sometimes a team chooses to take off 2 weeks to 2...- 459'smom

School ball/travel ball overlap
After reading the differences from state to state on this post (I had no idea everybody didn't play year round).....I AM SO THANKFUL TO BE FROM TEXAS!!! Lol, we do have some coaches who don't want you playing TB during HS Varsity ball, but other than that there are tournaments here year around...- 459'smom

Every tb coach we've ever had would understand if she already has school practice on those nights, and it sounds like yours would too. I don't think it would hurt for her to miss TB practice during the week provided she's attending HS practice that night even if she is the AC's DD. Lol...- 459'smom

"Pitching machines", some do some don't!!
From my experience, the girls usually hit A LOT better off the machine than live pitching 98% of the time. Of course practicing with live pitching is the most beneficial overall, using the tee or machine helps build muscle memory while not wearing out your pitcher.- 459'smom

Umm, I have to disagree!!! From my experience the "Daddy ball" coaches are the crazy ones!! Its common sense to require the girls earn their spots on the field. Whether his DD is a top 9 should be based on her performance not who she is!!! Fyi..I am more than willing for my daughter to be...- 459'smom

Xeno new or old and bat length
IMO, bat size had to be a completely individual decision. My 1st year 14u is using a 32 in drop 10 but she is very strong. Most girls on her team(s) couldn't swing her bat and get around on the ball fast enough.- 459'smom
