So Cal
I was seriously thinking on getting one for DD. She likes Xenos so we went with a new one this year. I have watched some college games this year and noticed a few teams that look like they are using them. The sound they made reminded me of the older Xenos. (at least through the TV, havent heard one in person yet) Only 5 games into high school season this year, and I have not spotted one yet.

Comparing the sound of the Ghosts on my DD's team to the Xenos and LXTs, the Ghost sound is equally loud, but not quite as high pitched as the LS bats. More gunshot, less breaking glass. Demarinis are a thud.

Are the Ghosts super balanced or something? My DD swings a 29/18 CF9 right now. We are walking through Academy Sports the other night and she sees the Ghost on the rack and runs over to It and Is like "ohhhhhhhh THE GHOST!" (I can feel my debit card heating up through my wallet) It was a 32/22 and she gets over Into the open space In the baseball/softball section and starts taking rips with It. Much to my surprise with very minimal loss of mechanics In her swing. After seeing her swing so much I could obviously tell this was not the correct size and weight for her. But, I honestly couldn't believe It. Eastons usually weigh a little more than sticker, yet she was still handling It relatively well. They did not have any 30/20 or I would have had her try and see how she swings It.

Before they hit the market I told people the Ghost will be way better at weight control this year as compared to earlier years, But the Ghosts are still about .5-.75 over. Heck, prior years
Eastons were atleast an ounce over...sometimes 1.5 over. CF's are a lot of times a tad under weight.
So kinda sounds to me she is ready to move up a little

Ok, since I started this thread, I feel I can vent a little in it :)

You know what really "Grinds my Gears"? (little Family Guy ref for fans out there) You order a "off weight" bat for someone and you tell them over and over that they HAVE TO take the bat
when it comes in 10 days. Then you give them updates and they say ok. Then the bat arrives...and nothing. Then finally they will just say they don't want it and will avoid talking anymore...like
children. Come on folks. Called responsibility and evidently some people weren't taught that in todays world.

Ok, off my rant. No need to respond or get this off topic...just had to vent :)

Core post out here what you ordered, you never know.....
I am guessing it is a Ghost since this is a Ghost thread.....

Speaking of off weight bats, DD absolutely loves her -8 from Coresoftball. It is my belief that she accelerated *to* contact with the -10 and accelerates *through* contact with the -8. That’s all I’m going to say, don’t want to jinx a good thing.

Core - you have every right to vent! I'm sure there's been some frustrating deals (or attempted deals) with people....as you say show some responsibility and accountability. Be true to your word.

Can I pile on a little here? This goes for the vendors on here as well (not talking about you Core, every transaction I've had with you has been good) but c'mon people, communication goes a long way. When you say you'll get back to someone later that day, or the next or on Monday and then time and time again you don't? Everyone is busy so while that reason may be true it doesn't excuse you from not doing what you said you'd do and at least follow up with a quick message....and this is a repeated pattern of behavior for some. Going silent and not responding is a chicken s__t way of doing business. People are excited to get their stuff and this crap sucks all the fun out of spending hard earned money. ;-) If you make a mistake and mis-price something or there is a factory delay or any number of other issues which can occur, that's fine, stuff happens just be straight up about it. Do you not care about referrals? Do you not care because it's only a hobby for you or you just don't need to bother since the amount of $$$ you make on an individual deal is insignificant? If you're going to offer products and services to people, treat them right!

Regarding the Ghost...my DD's swing it side by side with a DeMarini CFX (warranty replacement for a CF8 which they loved) and an Easton Stealth (33/23 which they handed out at last years Select 30 camp at LSU and their old Easton Mako 33/23. Ps. the old Easton Mako's were tanks as Core predicted and have held up to a brutal amount of work! The CFX and the Ghost are both 34/24 and to confirm what's been said here before they swing completely different from each other. The Ghost is slightly over sticker while the CFX is almost spot on so the weight difference is minimal but the feel is not. I haven't had a chance yet to get swing speeds/exit speeds but my gut tells me the Ghost will swing slightly slower and the exit speeds will be similar. Off the tee and soft toss there hasn't been a noticeable difference in distance. Over time, with live pitching the larger sweet spot of the Ghost should show up as a positive and the difference in swing speed...well, we'll see. ;-)

Again, this is why "reps" piss me off. All these people are, are random people that call a store and say, "hey, I can sell a lot of bats for you, can I be a rep and what price will you charge me for them?" So these people have NO skin in the game. And problem is, calling themselves "reps" makes people think they work for the store or the manufacturer...which is incorrect.
They are nothing to anything. So they sell a bat, you pay them, they call the store and the store ships. The "rep" does nothing. Soooo, you see where im going with this. There is nothing that makes them do anything. And this has happened lot. People have gotten screwed by "reps" walking off with money and the customer cant go after the store, because they aren't employees. Also, nothing makes them give good service or communication or give real or true information. Most don't know sh!t about bats and only trying to sell a bat.

I have seen all kinds of people on facebook cry about being taken by a "rep". Guess what...tough poop. Deal with it. Your choice to deal with non-auth dealers. Same as ebay...tons of
third party guys on there and they lie out their butts about who they are. You wanna save a dime, its you're problem if it goes bad or if you get a garbage receipt that provides no
warranty. Oh well, its choices and consequences.

You can vent all you want bro, this is not an "only me" venting area :)
