This is a problem. The "team" didn't ask them to join them for the rest of the season, YOU did. The bottom-line is this is a mixed age rec team and I think as a coach you have an obligation to play the players who have signed up to be on this team of 11 players for the season from Day 1. 13 girls for a rec team is too many IMO. You should have waited until the end of the season before adding players to the team. While the dad handled his frustration in the wrong way, I think you have helped create this toxic environment.
