My DD plays for a TB team that has a great org leader but not a great coach. All of the parents have seen me coach in years passed, have brought their daughters to practice with mine in our practices, and they have all voiced that they want me to take the team over. I am more than capable of being a HC and would really enjoy it and know we could win some tourneys with the team we have now.

What/How would you approach the Org Owner?

1. Tell the org you'd like to apply to be a coach next year.
2. Quit stirring the pot this season.

agree with yall and that is what I have tried to do. I am one of the only parents who doesnt stir the pot and who supports the staff, that said if my DD friends want to come practice with her I cant turn them away.

DD friends occasionally come and practice with us, only invite a couple at a time. I think it is better for practice for DD.

Certainly do not setup my own Team practices.

Correct I do not do that either. My DD invites players from her team when we are going to practice and they show up

If you're friends with the org leader, ask him or her to watch a practice or a game. He or she will know why you're asking and nothing more needs to be said.
