We are Husky fans and were watching the televised game against Stanford a couple weeks ago. It was Ingelsby, the senior, against Schreyer, who I think is a freshman, and has been carrying pretty much their entire load due to player injuries. Watching how she kept her cool and plugged away with close to 200 pitches, knowing she would be back in the circle the next day against top notch teams, I couldn't help but have my heart go out to her. It just made me think how tough these girls are to carry the load they do - physical and emotional. I think when you are a pitcher's parent you just view the games slightly differently at times.
