What is your opinion when loading in your swing. Is it better to step or not? Which one would provide a better chance of success?

Thanks!

Yes. I do mean stride.

Seems to me most Colleges players stride. We started with a new hitting coach and he does not like for girls to stride. I do not like that so that is why I wanted to know what you guys think. I will post some video of her soon. She has alway stride and has always been a consistent hitter. Since changing, she has had trbl at the plate. She make contact but just seems her timing is off. NO power.

You mean stride? I assume that step = stride, but just want to clarify. It's a style thing, IMO, but I'd teach beginners to stride because I think it helps them understand weight transfer/shift better than if they don't. But I can't say if one is better than the other long term.

Not uncommon to see Cabrera fall back to a no-stride approach. Stride or no-stride, the same basic mechanics should be in play.
