Keep in mind that a young man will probably find your shotgun threats way less scary than a strong, self-confident young woman, full of self-respect and self-esteem, who knows how to hit things really hard with a bat. As it should be.

Yea man, I hear you on that. Let see how it goes these next four years

I remember those Freshman HS days but it was a while ago:

DD#4 aka Jake just turned 21 and is starting her Senior year at South Carolina
DD#3 is 22 and a hippie specializing in "edibles" in states that permit those products. Apparently she is quite talented and in very "high" demand. :)
DD#2 is 28 married and finally getting her tubes tied after she delivers grand kid #4 in a couple of months.
DD#1 is 30 and working her way up the corporate ladder. So proud of her last month when she left the gun show with both a new Sig and a Glock!

DD2 starts her high school career in a month or so as well. This will be the first (and only) year that both my DDs will play on the same team, as DD1 is a senior this year. Should be interesting to see how the senior captain treats the incoming freshie. One nice thing...a year of not having to pick up from practices!

... unless you have been known to come out of the back of your house pumping at a hunter who put his deer stand too close to your house. Not that I know someone who has done that. BTW, that stand is still up there but no body's been back.

Same here. Looking forward to sharing war stories with you and marriard as the seasoned DFP'rs watch in amusement.
DD has first BF this summer but has been very cool about it this far.

I remember my dd going into HS like it was yesterday. In 2 weeks we drop her off for year 2 of college. It goes fast, fast, fast. Make sure you enjoy it. Did I mention it goes fast?

There is only one time when it is both too fast and too slow -- when I am out of town on a business trip. Time slows to a crawl without my family to drive me crazy, and it is too fast because the kids grow up when I'm not watching,

Yes it goes FAST. DD starts her junior year in a couple of weeks. Can't believe it.

Side note....DD had her two year follow up Xrays and appointment from her spinal fusion surgery. Seems like yesterday we were in the hospital waiting for 5 long long long hours to hear how the surgery went, and get to see her. I will never forget walking into her room. Her face was swollen beyond recognition, she had IVs in each arm, a PIC line in her upper arm that went directly to a main artery near her heart, she had a cathetor, and four tubes draining blood from her back. Mom and DAD (Me) had to lie and tell her how great she looked and attempt to keep a positive attitude. Not sure I succeeded on that one. I digress.....anyway, all her xrays and everything look good two years later, with three titanium rods, and all 18 screws still tight. Very relieved, as she had taken a header over one of those temp outfield fences about a month ago.
