DD takes a 4 to 6 week break every fall. In fact her first throwing session is scheduled for this weekend. This is the third consecutive year she has taken such a break and I think it has been good for her. No negatives as far as I have seen.
Makes me super nervous when they take breaks but it does seem to do them good. For DD, her focus has been on volunteering and school so I am just sitting back letting her relax and focus on those things. She is still working out though...and HS coach has them staying after for a bit to pitch. Mostly worried about muscle memory in hitting...in my mind, I feel like a break = $$ down the drain (from all those lessons and practice), but I guess I need to chill and focus on the $$ I am saving on the break from lessons. LOL.
