Here is one of self toss. If your coach allows. Hit fielding practice.
This I believe is also a good way to work on your sequence and mechanics.

Daughter of mine..:)

Casey swung early on this change up, her teammates dad was taking photos this day and was inside the fence. She hit this ball Mach 1 into the fence infront of her dug out right where he was standing.
He was looking through his camera lens.
He has photos of the ball 3 inches from his head.
The ball missed his face and camera by 1 inch, hit the fence and ricocheted down the field before he could take the camera from his face.
Lucky, Lucky, man.....:)

dd'S 10u third base coach would step behind the fence at third when she was up. She had a tendency the first year to be way ahead of the pitchers. Would love to see the photo sequence of that foul ball!

You can see which way it is headed. This is his photo. The bat and ball are square with his lens....
He had a shot about half way and then right in front of him.
I wish I would have saved them.

Ive looked everywhere except my old computer. Might try to fire it up this weekend, out in my shop.

Why not ask 'how not to be WAY AHEAD of a change up?

Why would I ask that? She was ahead of everything, worked on it in Rec ball and she isn't to bad now. Occasionally she still will fire one off down the third base line that wakes up the coach though.

That would not be a good question to ask given the situation.

Do tell why not a good question to ask.

I have said in the past many times. Teach them how to throw if you want a better hitter.
This information comes from Bustos/Carrier...
Howard will let them hit three balls. Then most times will tell the parent, student, your daughter does not have good throwing mechanics. They wont get off the back side correctly. Howard is so right with this.
The more time I work on the throwing mechanics the better hitters they are. This is so true for every lesson I give.

The photos above of my daughter she is throwing 50% or less in power.
Her back leg comes flying around.
If your daughter does not have these mechanics on throwing, think about, working on it.

Throwing arm, Elbow even or higher then the back shoulder.
Good separation
Elvis move...drive with the lower back, butt, leg, foot
tuck the glove...create tork
Release across the body

The hips have released to the front leg, weight shift, just like hitting
