To me, and 90% of ding dong instructors that are teaching kids to stride are saying the stride is a front leg striding out move. Ryan's front leg is barely farther out from his back leg than it was in his stance. Many swings it isn't any farther. He gathers up his front side and his rear leg and rear hip coil move him out.
As much as his front leg moves out…his belt buckle moves out also.
