It is a long story but DD's Rec. Team was moved up to the travel division for the year end tournament. We had a really good rec. team but I think the TB Teams are still scoring on us. It wasn't pretty. 
Should a Select Team play Rec Ball?

I am not upset about it.
We actually had tryouts for a select team already to compete in the TB division next year. Most the players on the Team will be from our Rec. Team. I think playing all season against that level team will make a big difference. The game was just too fast for everyone because they were not used

Rec league teams in our area do not allow full teams to sign up. They take all the players that sign up for a certain age group and pretty much have a draft between the coaches. That pretty much eliminates this in our area except for the team that loses a player and needs to add one and they go out and find a ringer as a pitcher.
