I teach MS PE, and I've got to say, based on extensive personal research, that the softball throw translates to greater success than the baseball throw.
Boys may be, on average, bigger/stronger, but the softball players tend to have nastier arms in dodgeball than the boys, baseball players included......it's fun to watch the boys every year learn this lesson
Saw this on Fb last night---HILARIOUS!! DW came into the room and said, "WTH are you laughing at so hard? I asked if she saw the video---DW responds, Oh yeah. The Kid saw it too; says it looks like her and a friend playing dodgeball at their MS." THANKS FOR SHARING!!
Just realized this pitcher is a kid my daughter has played against quite a bit in 10's and 12's. Haven't watched her play in quite awhile but she was always a real competitor and showed hints of a riseball at an early age.
