DD is on the small side too - 4'11" and 75 lbs at 12. She is also a fairly picky eater. Especially during tournaments. She doesn't like anything heavy or greasy. Can't stand it when the team goes out for burgers or has them brought back between games.
Our cooler usually has deli meat, cheese sticks and crackers. Lots of fruit (watermelon, berries and grapes), and chocolate milk. She also likes those premade smoothies by Naked or Odwalla. She does not love bars of any kind, but will eat a Tigers Milk bar in a pinch. She also likes those Ritz peanut butter sandwiches for a quick snack.
She has learned that she needs to fuel her body properly though. She catches for our team and last year refused to eat much during a 100 degree multi game tourney. She was talking with her coach after a game with all her gear on and all of a sudden her eyes rolled in the back of her head and down she went. Since then she has been very diligent about making sure she stays hydrated and that she eats the right amount of protein and carbs. I guess it took something "big" for her to realize how important what she eats is.
