Outfielders positioning

DD hit it hard but the LF made a nice catch, no need to tell anyone that the LF was positioned in the IF.

Unless they practice it I see the defensive players running into each other, obstruction, 4 players running after a ball in the OF (or better yest no one going after the ball), no one covering a base, etc. Sounds like fun, I would like to see it.

if you have shallow home run fence (200") you are better off playing outfield way in. take a lot of singles away.

Play in on the wrong kid, and you'll turn a single into an extra-base hit...and perhaps a HR.

Some of the confusion in this area may come from folks incorrectly importing a rule for coed slow pitch softball to the fast pitch game.. Not to mention goofy local rules. But in ASA and NFHS fast pitch games you could put seven girls in a line from first to third as your defensive alignment if you wanted to. F1 has to be on the pitchers plate and F2 has to be in the catchers box. Other seven can be anywhere in fair ground so long as they don't prevent the batter from being able to hit the ball.
