I saw where Oregon state was called for two illegal pitches today. It was bottom of the 3rd inning today. Different pitchers both days. How is that possible? They see it in the West coast but not the East coast.
OSU has been called for three IPs so far. One IP resulted in a run scoring.
Very frustrating Danielle Lawrie calling a leap a crow hop, good grief.
An the umpires are incapable of seeing the same from Barnhill. Amazing! Kudos to the umps for having a pair!!!
You all must be parents of something other than a pitcher.

I seems that you really have a special axe to grind with Barnhill...
I do find it interesting that she gets all your attention. Silkwood is a more obvious target, I'd say. Much more blatant...
Objectively, Barnhill does a VERY GOOD JOB of maintaining contact with the ground with her back foot/toes.
Or at the very least, makes it VERY HARD to say that she didn't keep contact in real-time.
This pitcher was VERY AIRBORNE. and this is an easy call for the base umpire(s) to make.
I don't think Barnhill will ever realistically get called for a "leap".
I don't disagree that she IS leaping, I'm just saying that she's functionally leaping while giving a very convincing impression of not leaping.
The only prayer of an IP getting called on Barnhill is the replant. And I don't think Umps are going to call it- even in the WCWS.
